Kaeleigh, the owner/operator of Grim Delights, likes books, death and coffee. A skeletal arm holding a steaming cup of coffee over an open book seemed like the obvious choice. A star was added to balance out the logo and serve as a shoutout to the Lone Star state in which she works. Plus it kind of looks like a flag at a distance, which I thought was neat. 

We went through several versions of logos before we settled on the woodcut style featured in the main logo.

An older draft of the logo eventually was retained to use as a decorative icon on the blog.
